People only skip Quell because they are smug retards that think the tiny gold investment is pointless because of their GODLYKE SKILLZ
it doesn't matter even if u can cs perfectly without a quelling blade, it's 24 damage for 200 gold and if u do more damage u farm faster, so there's hardly ever a situation where picking it up doesn't benefit you.
people dont like it when you start with a quelling blade, not the item in general.
in the current meta you need lots of regen in lans (6tangoes at least, maybe a salve)
usually when i see my carry start with stout+quellin+3 tangos the lane will be a total mess
^ this, you can get it from side shop so taking it from the base is pointless, better stack up on regen so you dont tax the courier usage and let someone die because of it. Why do you even care, LS is out of the meta for quite some time.
You always buy a QB on a melee core.

You just don't ever start with one out of the base.
