I can't listen to music while playin dota I can't focus on game and some important sounds I can't hear during game: like butcher's ult

Music stimulates the brain, there's simply no discussing this. There's multiple studies for it, so what's better, listening to some 13 year old complain there's no wards on his jungle on his midas hardcarry or just listening to something nice instead. It's also much better if you picked up an instrument when you were a kid.

go search on youtube and search relax daily, its a good music while playing. just make the volume low.

At first I wouldn't so I could hear the game music ques but after a while you don't really need it imo.

For people claiming music is too distracting do you turn down the in game music? Perhaps it is listening to music from two sources that is distracting.

What really distracts me is listening to my side lanes complain about how they need a gank while i get 8 slotted on arc warden.

Im sorry i didnt specify , my in-game music is always 0 . I dislike in-game music in EVERY game (Probably thanks to my lil brother playing shitty games with full volume on mob ) . Dota has nice pick phase music but it still gets on my nerves .

I normally listen to a fairly random selection of music but I have a few playlists for the heroes I spam. The playlists start with slower calming songs to start the match off so I can relax and focus on last hitting, kind of a pallet cleanser from the match before as well. After finishing a game fully slotted at lvl 30 just moments ago it helps to just slow things down and last hit with calming songs.

Then after around 10 minutes of calming music I put faster pace music, an attempt to snap me out of the last hitting trance and start thinking about potential team fights, ganks, moving around the map, split pushing etc.

After 20-30 minutes its just hardcore rap and metal. This is an attempt to create a confident mood. This helps motivate me for a comeback or to finish the team off. Really helps keep ya from afking in the jungle when Seek and Destroy from Metallica comes on.

i do sometimes, but i dont mind the ingame music and i enjoy being able to react because i can hear something

Yes, I always listen to music regardless of what I am doing. The only games I dont listen to music too are immersion rpgs where music would ruin them like Skyrim, Witcher. etc. Everything else is better with music or an interesting podcast to listen too i think.

I didn't like listening to normal music that have lyrics while playing games, I only listen to classic or instrumental because it relaxes me.
