I would also like to know, the only good ping is South Africa. Would like to play other servers too.
I play with between 150-250ms grand.
You just gotta try be a little bit better with prediction imo.
you could always play a few bot games or w/e to get used to it
@ Wink, that's the intention. I want to become comfortable with it. What do you guys normally average?
Unfortunately i just tried one game with 200ms and immidiately regret it.
I have an average of 20 to 40 ms per game usually.
There will be a few heros I will attempt to avoid, IE AA / visage. I think I can handle some heros on those servers however, atleast I have in the past.
in us east i have 30, in west i have 100, in EU west i have 100, and i have never gone farther
I can play almost every hero just fine with 100 ping, ive yet to try skillshot heroes in my non-main servers out of fear of being shit. i should try to make a lobby and practice with bots in the eu servers
when Dota 2 was just out after TI1, i got my invite and was playing witn 350 - 450 ping
and now i play at 150 - 250 ping...
you out there who feed and blame pings.... gtfo!!!
The AA player for my team handles it very well on 200+ ping (he plays SEA from Australia). He also plays the micro-intensive supports like Chen/Visage.
I think it's a matter of getting used to it.
You can get used to it. I used to play wc3 with 1/1.5 delay back in the day which is a huge fucking deal for an rts. But i was used to it that it almost didnt affect me.
Once i got rid of delay it was hilarious how better i became. It feels like running with weights.
It's not that big of a deal for most heroes. Makes last hitting a little harder as well. But damn, you need some balls to play Chen with high ping.
Bah i dont even see why they have Usa trash servers fucking waste of server money so small scene so few players.... And crappy.

I live and play NA east. I've recently been attempting to play EU W some, mostly because of friends. Dota lag is far different than SC lag. How to adjust to 150-180 ping from my regular 50?
