Pick lion and you got disable's and incredible nuking power.

Pick Wind and you got an escape and great skill shots to kill people or chase them.

Either one is acceptable, just depends on the line up.

Lion can adjust much better in more line-ups than a WR can. That's just my opinion though. WR is also more farm and level dependent while a Lion is just level dependent. I guess if you're like EGM or LanM who can farm up tons of shit on their supports (while helping the team), then I guess why not. I'd prefer Lion though

Lion is more flexible and more reliable. Windranger is kinda meh, not really excellent at anything kind of all around decent. Lion is disgusting in tri lanes or with a carry like ursa.

Because delicious flat chest and inevitable winrate loss.

Lion. He's pretty much the most sexual hero out there.

You've got the spikes of anal poking, the sucking of your opponent's essence, the hex to allow your team for uninterrupted rape and the ultimate fingering of death.

windrunner isn't a reliable support => windrunner isn't a support as a support need to be reliable.

WR has more disadvantages i think, her stun need enemy in row or tree so u must use it like mirana, also her stun doesnt do damage. her powershot deal good damage but not so good like lion, only her evasion can be used as biggest advantages since lion doesn't have evasive skill.

What are you looking for a support or an offlane?

Lion = Support not an offlaner
Windrunner = Offlaner not a support (can build utility but that doesn't make her a support)

Good supports are (IMO) ones that can contribute something where things go bad. If all goes to shit with lion or lina you can at least drop a support or carry here and there with your ult and have stuns that you can cast without being to close to harm. Rhasta can push etc and I find it better to start with ones that have a massive nuke, stun and some disable although I prefer supports that are able to be more active in fights like Visage, Jakiro, and Vengeful.

Initiators shouldn't either be considered hard supports as you are shafting them hard if you try and play them as such.

As much hate as most players give WR
- she actually has one of the best hit animations and better ms-> making her a great harnesser
- shackleshot can take out 2 heroes at once potentially
- competitively pros pick her more often than lion

Lion - Easy combo lockdowns + Great nuke

Lion doesn't rly need much levels, just blink,
and more teamplay than WR

lion can levelling in clash, dat disable, dat stun, dat nuke. But pugna will counter him easily :3

pugna counters every support with lots of casts- cm, lina, lich.

Lich best support, just go offlane and help any hero to farm by eating creep everytime. Enemy team hard can counter that even pulling.

I feel that WR is quite effective as support since offlaner will stay near the tree near side shop (at least thats how i do it) and walking near creeps to avoid gank and leech EXP, so WR will use this as advantage to land her shackle

She can also nuke the running offlane from a far and check ancient with powershot (if you are radiant)

Her 3rd skill is very useful if she fucked up while she's pulling camps

Her ulti can also help to get tower.

Lion benefit is reliable stun combined with build in scythe of vyse which really effective as an early game support

3rd skill to harass the shit of offlane esp the one who need mana to survive like dark seer

His ulti is very reliable nuke which you can use just with 1 click and can be upgraded to awesome AoE nuke which can be combined with vacuum/magnu's ulti

Disrupter or Dazzle are pretty OP if played with the right heroes. Disrupter with a void is pretty GG if both play right. Dazzle with a replicating heroes or heroes that generally go Manta are good also cause of his heal bomb or his heal vs a lot of Melee heroes.

I guess it depends on what you want to do. If you want to farm, snowball, semi carry go wind. If you want to be sweet lane support/possible ganker go lion.
