You can now choose if you are a noob or medium or high or dota 2 player or whatever... i made a new smurf just to test it out and im usually in 5k bracket within first 5 games but now i had 2.5 idiots after 4 games that i raped.
might be a slower climb and or other changes but it seems retarded.
you should choose that you are very high skilled rtz level and 1st game you will play on 1st page.
im usually on page 1 after 5 games thats what i ment by 5k i will continue to try this new shit out and inform you guys later how it works.
and yes fuck smurfs. but if it is a newer Deaper longer harder climb it will drastically fix the smurf problem.

by lowering the initial calibration sensitivity and allowing players to choose their starting mmr it ensures the "5k players" will probably climb their way to 5k unranked by the time they unlock ranked if the highest initial setting is say 4k
ok first of all it seems that the Starting point for the max setting is about 2-3k possibly including the people i / we meet.
^if max is 2k the lowest possible is like what 0mmr? :D
maybe you just get bad low end 4k mmr players.
idk i made a smurf the other day with the new system (which isnt that new btw been around for like a month) and i went 33-0 with pudge and then my next game was in very high skill soooo idk smurf detection seems to be working fine for me maybe u didnt pwn hard enough :)?

Side note I made a new account while muted and after 5 games received 9 out of 12 games very high skilled which I thought was a bit sudden and still got 0-13 DK players for teammates.
Also how are you 5k mmr and if so obviously the account your posting on is not 5k mmr.

Sampson still sits at 4k and that account he has, he has been playing games on since 1 year + and like a lot of people probably has it as a backup to test new heroes and to jump on if in low prio (back when the system timed out after a day or two)

^ I think he is around 4000 most of his games are very high skill but he has a high skilled game on his first page, so he cant be too far past 3800.
why does everyone on forums feel the need to lie about there MMR, 4k is actually good the only reason that people don't respect it is that every one else is also pretending to be a 5k. its like a bunch of high schoolers insisting that they all have 12 inch penises, and telling people with 9 inch penises that they are small unmanly.

^ranked matches are party+solo, so you could have 60% winrate solo and 40% winrate party and it's 50% winrate ranked.

let me yet another time show you logic and how winrate means nothing and never should mean anything for MMR.
Example one. Player X makes an account and wins against a complete noob and gets 100% winrate total.
Example two. Player Z plays vs NAVI and loses and ends up on 50% or even 45% becuase he has low amount of games.
But why take my logical word for it? i guess for some people "proof" and screenshots will be the only thing that really works.

Yes, i did that mistake as well and used the booster at level 4 and it just doesn't go away now. I wish i knew that so that i could be playing ranked now. Also pro tip, do not open the chest till you are level 13 and even more because that way there are more chances that rare items will drop out of it.
