im not good by any means, but this MM system really is poor. twice last night, the game tried queing me with the people we beat. -_-
By report system I mean the mutes...which is relatively new, and is fucking shit.
The MM will be improved by/on release, whenever that will happen.
MM parallels politics in europe/usa of today. Winning is not rewarded but punished, after a nice streak MM will dig up the bowels of the community and place them on your team to knock you down. Instead of tiering the players respectfully. The high/vh brackets are minimal compared to the masses. In Dota2 there are no winners, only losers in equal regard.
Matchmaking rewards teamplay and punishes solo queing once you have learned the game. Solo queing is made easier for new players. It provides equality of opportunity, not equality of outcomes. Comparing this to state forced redistribution of wealth is absurd.
Matchmaking does not force you to lose it simply does not perform miracles to cause a group of 10 similar skilled individuals in the same region to que into a game during the same 30 sec period. If you want the search range narrowed, then reque whenever it hits 30 sec and see how long it really takes to find that perfect match. Being unable to easily pub stomp on newbs like you could in dota 1 is nothing like socialism.
Flaming, gameruining, intentional feeding, etc are all down to a tiny fraction of what was common in Dota 1. And maphacking, which was common in dota 1 has been eliminated in dota 2. There is no way OP played dota for 9 years and suddenly is going to quit because he feels the community is less polite now. Its not clear why he decided to lie, but most likely its just a troll post.
Both issues are solved by freedom to choose who is on your team. Just do it.
Actually, Valve did an awesome job creating Dota 2 as a game itself

The only problems are within the MM and the problem is not from valve, its from the community.
Valve is being held responsible because they have the ability to fix it but they refuse to do so.
It was rare to have 4 available friends online to play dota 2(which I knew, not just random ppl from net). I remember one time we stacked as 4 and we got a 5th player random on team he picks furion buys tp scrolls with starting gold and starts feeding from -2:00. I mean after many months of dota 2 my nerves aren't in shape to handle that situation normally.
On rgc and garena when people joined the host we "knew" each other after have joined each other hosts for so many times and we would have fun, nobody would flame each other even if we got stomped 25 times in a row.
Today you fuck up 1 spell or just do a small misplay and somebody will sure start either feeding, flaming or fucking your families assholes.
It's not a game, it's some kind of a monster boiling pot.

And yes, I believe that is a possible solution. It's a competitive game after all...

I dont think MM can fix human stupidity and greed. So unless youre willing to compromise for your team things will just be worse.
Serious, i never. I said NEVER. Got some punishment cuz of report or abandon. I really dont know how you guys cry a lot. (Dota 2 since started)
I m sure that people who cry about report / mm System is the same who is BM in game.

increase it to 10games a day or even more for a week too see and feel huge fuckin difference

I remember days where I played dota just for fun... Today it's full of hate speech, rage, nervous breakdowns and all the negative things taken together... maybe it's because in wc3 times from time to time you could have played other custom map for a while to chill and relax...
many things to say but dota is not providing any fun a game should...i quit after 9 years.
