Agreed. If you're that much better, you'll win those really hard-to-win games too and gain probably even more mmr. But there is something with that forced 50% win, i actually agree it exists. After having a good win streak you usually get same long lose streak even if you play good. You have to play exceptional in those games to win.
It's kind of lame, when you know from the start (either because of people hero picks or just intuition) that you're gonna lose and you pretty much cant do anything about it. But comebacks are even nicer in those game if they happen :)
28 lost 1 won 1 lost xD ... If i dont play hero that can mostly win 1v5, every game i play is lost on 3.5k+ bracket... So stupid rly.
For now I think I'm managing to dodge force 50% w/ abusing Visage & cancelling matchmaking queue in ranked if time > 2mins.

Shorter queue timed matches seems more balance than longer ones.
And it takes longer probably because the matchmaking system isn't able to find players of similar skill so it decides to just put someone lower or higher skilled so you could play. It results to stomps and I don't want that.
I still think it's a myth, but it seems to be working for me.
^That's actually true. That's true when someone doesn't accept as well. Since it puts you on "high" priority, it tries to find a match asap which ends up being totally imbalanced between teams.
just leave before fb if:
-some1 is speaking spanish
-teammates are fighting over a lane
-u called a lane and some1 is contesting it
-right before ure getting fb'd (pause and leave)
-if you feel ur teammates are bad (leave if some1 says 'we need tank', for example)
-if opponents counterpick u
-if opponents pick imba hero
guaranteed much higher win % and no lpq (idk why but u dont get lpq anymore if u leave before fb (; )

I cancel matchmaking queue (different from cancelling/leaving a already set match) if finding match takes more than 2 minutes because I want a game where both teams have 50% chance of winning. For me, it's more fun that way than having a 70/30 stomp games.
I've been looking at the stats of my recent matches where I did cancel queue and I think the games did have better quality over the ones I didn't. Dotabuff stats of those people I've played w/ under cancelling queue usually have 52%+ winrate or having 70-100 more wins over lose. Which is way better than playing w/ 50%>WR people from longer timed queues.
You might think it's tedious to do (cancelling over and over again) but if you have a set rules, I don't think it is. If I find myself cancelling queues like 3 times, I take it as a sign that I shouldn't even be playing dota2 and just do something else.

I went into this match literally thinking I should just quit. I had an instapick Drow on my team go with Luna into offlane (Luna was talking as if he was new to DotA and was comparing heroes to champions from LoL), enemy team picked ES AND BB, and we only had 1 support.
At 39 mins, ES says "GG QOP and Lifestealer"

The only shit volvo forces is that my mmr shall stay @ 4,5-4,8k. When im close to 4,8 i get per win like 8 fucking points and lose like 28. When i go down to 4,5 suddenly iits like 25-25. Its weird as fuck.

3rd least picked hero. Like most players in AP mode, I usually wait for atleast 2-3 people to pick and I hardly go up against players using Visage. And when I do, it's almost always because someone got it on random.
I could also play all the games as ns mid, but I actually get bored too fast.
Good mm is when you can play any hero you have some skill with and get fun. Not possible here.

Winning with visage will increase your MMR until you'll win only 50% of your games with him. Then, if you decide to play another hero, you'll get a losing streak.
