I love playing support, however I can't count on my team at all so I have been playing as Weaver and Necrophos lately. Doing well for me most of the time.
Jungling LC seems to work pretty well at solo 4.5k mmr. As long as there's basic communication and no super feeding on any of the lanes LC comes into action at around 8 minutes with the dagger wrecking havock and winning duels :D
Depending on team picks, I'd go like this:
- Drow if someone picked a ranged carry (Luna / Huskar / Weaver / Medusa / Viper Morph, etc).
- Nyx, unless enemy team has some stupid no intel lineup like tiny / viper / dk / bristleback / LC
Support / Disable; Crystal Maiden & Ogre Magi
Support / Push; Leshrac & Jakiro
Carry; Tiny / Brewmaster
Ganker / Roam; Space Cow or Crystal Maiden
Offlane; Furion / Clockwerk
Jungle; I seldom jungle, but Naix i guess

One level in Necro's aura early on basically denies the natural regeneration of enemies around you, makes consuming tangoes really inefficient and harrases by virtue of standing somewhat near them, plus the damage it deals to creeps is insignificant enough to not end in unwanted pushes.
A: No one picks a support---->Dazzle (as long as I have someone with a melee hard carry with a guarantee stun in my lane)
A: No one picks a Mid----> Outworld Devourer pretty much best mid IMO
A: No one picks a tank----> Centaur Warrunner. (Better wins if someone has a guarantee stun)
A: No one picks a tower pusher and no one picks a mid----> Death prophet.
A: No one picks a nuker or a tower pusher and you have a mid----> Leshrac (best with a guarantee stun side lane, do not pick against OD or silencer mid though)
I could go on but I try to base my picks off of what the team is lacking.
It used to be Lifestealer, I had a 75% win rate with him, I'd go afk jungle for ~12 mins, get armlet, push teir 1s, rotate between ancient camps til I get AC and then win the game. It was like novocaine, give it time, always works. But last few games the lanes got stompped when I tried to jungle so idk, hasn't been working for me lately.
So my go to if I'm going to insta pick right of the bat now are Luna and Bristleback.
Luna is really unique in that she's decent in lane early with high dmg and a really good nuke/mini stun (has crazy range), she farms amazingly all game, is a beast mid game with her ult, particularly before other team gets bkbs, and cleans up end game with glaive bounces. A lot of carries take too much farm to come online (Antimage, PA), or lack any real utility mid game (sniper is an example), or struggle to farm well if their lane is contested (like Void sometimes if he doesn't have good support). Luna is good all game and farms easily.
Bristle is just strong as hell.
If team picks though and we need supports I go CM or Disruptor. Great disables and team fight.
PL. pretty impossible to control him once you leave him unchecked for 15 minutes which pretty much always happens in pub games. Spectre is hard to lose with if you tell your russian who called mid to pick some nobrainer who is gonna carry for 30 minutes like Nightstalker you will be fine
for now i play invoker. firstly hard to expert this hero. finally i know the way to win with this hero
venomancer and legion commander so far :D... prolly centaur will climb the ladder

Before the nert I used to play Troll and spam his ulti each 30 seconds. Im going DP when it's serious.
Lifestealer, Shadow Fiend (hated alws, 9/10 games perma ganked ), Roamers. Or anthg the team needs.

Morphling, so broken when use right it's not even funny. Get an ethereal blade and you insta die and he has this mass amount of escape.
