it doesn't have to finish channeling, like stealing black hole for example, it has to go on cooldown, so NP's TP doesn't go on cooldown until after it is channeled, but blackhole goes on cooldown the moment it is cast.
The moment you hit the spell button it can be stolen. This does NOT include spells that can be cancelled.
Blackhole - Can't be "faked" once you press R it goes so can be insta stolen.
Reverse Polarity - Won't be stolen if "faked"
Ravage - Can be stolen mid cast because again there is that "instant" cast mechanism even if there is a delay in the spread of the spikes so if you are fast you can actually steal this before you are thrown into the air due to the "ripple effect" of tides ult.
*meaning units that are closer to tide are stunned first

for spell steal does the spell have to be completely channeled for it to be stolen? Furions TP for example.
