Smurf accounts 95% of the time get placed in very high but if they're exceptionally bad get put in High.
Winrate ≠ MMR or Skill
they put a system (anti smurf) to push people who makes new accounts into very high to keep them from ruining games for new customers and making them quit. People in the upper brackets are alrdy hooked on the game so they dont really care

i am quite new to dota 2. i have played dota 1 around 6 months and just recently transfer to dota 2

is it possible to increase win rate?
or is it possible for valve to place me at lower skill level matches?
